Boston ferns require the bright, direct light of a south window. They will do almost as well in a bright east window.
For optimum growth, transplant a fern purchased in an eight inch plastic pot into a twelve inch clay pot. Water thoroughly. Place in a deep saucer in your decorative container.
Water well and often, fertilizing weekly with Schultz’s Orchid Food. Do not allow plant to sit in water. Do not allow it to dry out. A dried-out fern usually does not recover.
