$2.39
Green Envy Zinnias make a great accent to your garden with their vivid chartreuse hue, as well as a stunning cut flower with an impressive vase life. 4″ double blossoms pair well with a wide range of colors from bright to pastel and are easy to grow. This fast-growing and long-blooming species is excellent for pollinators, borders, and mass plantings.
Planting & Harvesting
Seed Depth: 1/4″ (6mm)
Spacing: 2″ (5cm)
Sprouts In: 5-8 days
Thinning: 12″ (30cm)
Direct sow outdoors after all danger of frost in well-drained soil, keeping surface moist until germination. Full sun will yield a more yellow tone while providing partial shade (particularly in hot climates) gives a deeper lime color. May be started indoors 6-8 weeks prior to last frost and transplanted for earlier blooms.
Remove faded flowers to encourage more blossoms. Zinnias can be susceptible to mildew in humid or wet climates. Try to keep foliage dry by watering at the base of the plant, especially at night.
Additional Information
Botanical Name: Zinnia elegans
Height: 30-40″ (76-101cm)
Bloom Period: Summer to Fall
Type: Annual
