Black Gum/Tupelo (Nyssa sylvatica)
This native tree offers vibrant fall foliage and produces an edible sour fruit that ripens in early autumn. At mature height they can get up to 40ft tall and 25ft wide. This tree goes by many names: Sour Gum, Black Gum, Black Tupelo and so on.
