Start indoors four weeks before last frost date or plant in a sunny location with rich, moist soil. Loves heat and does not begin vigorous growth until day and night temperatures have warmed in late spring.
Remove the tender leaves at the top of the plant. As the growing season progresses, plants will spread and mound for larger selection of leaf material.
